Be Kind! Happy belated Monday!

Well, you are probably wondering why there was no Happy Monday post yesterday! My sincere apologies. I was not feeling well yesterday (hence the Happy Monday post on Tuesday), and was not able to check in with you all 😦

What I wanted to talk to you about yesterday was the importance of kindness. Most of us, if not all, have heard this phrase: “Treat others how you want to be treated.” We tend to recite it and even claim to believe it. But in reality, how much do we actually “believe” in this statement and act on it when the time comes?

It pains me to see how people sometimes forget the impact of their actions and words on others. We do not live in a vacuum. We are not excluded from the people around us, even if we think we are. Every single day, our actions and words, either directly or indirectly, impact others around us. So knowing that, why not act our best and say our nicest words? Why choose to be mean? What makes us think that we are superior to others? Why not take a second before we say or do something to assess the influence we may have on others.

None of us are immune to this! We are all at risk of hurting others – intentionally or unintentionally. So let’s keep this phrase at the back of our mind all day every day! TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. This way, we will at least eliminate the likelihood of being mean and unkind to others.

When I make someone smile, the impact of that happiness lingers in my soul much longer than it would in the other person! At least that’s what I think or would like to believe 🙂

Be kind to others!

I will see you next week… until then be kind and carry on 🙂
